Sylphx Observability

Docs · explanation

Evidence for one signed tenant.

A service submits logs, metric points, trace spans, error occurrences, and audit evidence. An authorized operator investigates that evidence by time and correlation, manages error-group and retention lifecycles, and reads back the exact durable Operation for every consequential effect.

Two public hosts, two jobs

Product site
https://observability.sylphx.com — this documentation, Product Contract, first success, and pricing/trust. Observability authors the content. Platform owns DNS/HTTPRoute desired spec; Hands applies kube. This page does not implement those.
API peel
https://api.observability.sylphx.com with public contract /v1. Marketing HTML on the peel is a defect. The JSON door is not this site.
Discovery
Callers take api_base from the current Platform Project Binding. Do not compile sibling product hostnames.

What you can do

  • Ingest typed, bounded logs, metrics, and traces. A batch is atomic. Equal live idempotency replay returns the same identity.
  • Query only the signed tenant over a positive bounded time interval, with opaque signed cursors.
  • Follow correlation inside that tenant: logs by trace_id, spans by trace_ids, error groups to occurrences and optional trace, audit rows by resource.
  • Treat error occurrences and audit entries as immutable. Error-group acknowledge/resolve/reopen is revision-fenced and returns a durable Operation.
  • Set retention per signal class, enforce it as a lease-fenced Operation, persist a conservation receipt, and delete a tenant only under policy and legal-hold rules.

Authority that is not this product

  • Platform owns project/environment composition, signed Project Bindings, deployment, bounded wake, and peel/site DNS/HTTPRoute desired spec.
  • Identity owns principals and short-lived delegations.
  • Data owns the bound PostgreSQL resource and backup mechanics. Atlas applies schema.
  • Hands materializes Kubernetes objects.
  • None of those products answers a customer evidence query, writes Observability domain state, or authors this site.

Residual, not destination

Witness names, hosts, and classes remain residual dead. A response on the dest peel that answers as Witness — service=witness, authority=witness, store=memory — fails dest. Predecessor peel https://observability.api.sylphx.com is residual dens, not dest. console.sylphx.com and leftover Console dens are not this site. HTTP 404 on leftover DNS is not writer-count 0. A site/ tree is not live completeness.

This documentation is dest speech and source content. It is not proof that live is empty or that live is complete.
